I feel strongly about a few AI-isms. They include:
- AI will never be conscious - but it will be very dangerous, very soon. Therefore I support regulations and constraints on the frontier of research.
- AI and large language models (LLMs) should be developed exclusively to address articulable human-centric needs and benefits.
- At the frontier level, all AI and LLMs should be developed exclusively in an open-source and decentralized ethos.
- Although some economic displacement is inevitable, focused efforts must be made to ensure that humans who are passionate about their professions, and who strongly identify with their crafts, should remain secure in their roles.
